...by providing communication between home and school.

Boston PTA creates a bimonthly hardcopy newsletter about PTA sponsored activities and events, as well as maintaining a website (currently under revision) available to all parents with internet access.

...by supporting informational programs on school-wide issues.

The P.A.S.S. program (Parental Awareness for Safe Schools) in partnership with the Cherokee County School Police has held several informational workshops the past school year for parents.  Making parents aware is a way to help them protect their children both at school and at home.

...by encouraging collaboration between children, families, teachers, and school.

Boston PTA provides funds for special projects, books, supplies, and other materials requested by teachers and staff, which greatly enhance classroom activities and our children’s ability to learn.  They have made possible the purchase of additional software, library books, musical instruments and equipment, physical education and playground equipment, and computers.

Boston PTA is active in the coordination and funding of many activities besides fundraising, such as:

• Providing personal items and school supplies to students in need.


• Paying authors to come and read to the students.


• Providing ways for families to interact with other families.


• Trying to have affordable family events.


• Providing teacher luncheons.


• Helping out in classrooms when needed.


• Raising money for Children‘s Healthcare of Atlanta.
